To prepare for that evening’s Christmas Dance, TAC’s ������ý and Career Advisor Dan Selmeczy (’08) and his wife Mary — as well as their baby, Francis! — offered a free dance class Saturday afternoon in St. Cecilia Hall. The couple led student pairs, step by step, through the fundamentals of waltzing, working their way up to the full dance.

For the final dance of the fall semester, members of the California Senior Class conducted their fellow students — as well as several tutors and their families — on a visit to Bedford Falls (once known as St. Joseph Commons), modeling their dance around the Christmas classic, It’s a Wonderful Life. Intricate murals depicted cherished moments from the movie beneath a magical canopy of string lights and paper snowflakes.

“As we come together tonight for a Christmas dinner, we thank and bless You, Lord and God of all,” began California Chaplain Rev. John Mary Chung in his invocation at Thomas Aquinas ������ý’s 2022 Christmas Dinner. “We thank you for your abundant blessings on this college. You are lavish in bestowing all Your good gifts upon us.”

The celebration of Thanksgiving began early on the California campus when students gathered last Friday night for a Thanksgiving Concert, courtesy of the Thomas Aquinas ������ý Choir and Orchestra. Conducted by Daniel Grimm (’76), the performance featured Bach’s Cantata 140 and Mozart’s “Coronation Mass.”
