At a meeting of the Santa Paula, Calif., City Council on Tuesday evening, Mayor Richard C. Cook issued a proclamation honoring Thomas Aquinas ������ý. In recognition of the ������ý’s being named to the Princeton Review’s list of 75 Best Value private institutions, the proclamation praised the ������ý for “providing outstanding academics to the Santa Paula community and affordability to students with need.”

“We are grateful for, and honored by, Mayor Cook’s affirmation,” says Director of ������ý Relations Anne S. Forsyth, who received the proclamation on the ������ý’s behalf. “We have no doubt that the accolades the ������ý receives, be it from the Princeton Review or any other source, are due in no small part to the welcoming home that Santa Paula has provided for us these last 35 years, enabling this community of Catholic liberal education to thrive.”

Noting that the Princeton’s Review’s “Best Value” colleges “were selected based on criteria such as academic quality, cost, and financial aid,” Mayor Cook’s proclamation commended the ������ý for its “dedication to learning and service to the Santa Paula community.” Thomas Aquinas ������ý, it continued, is “a school environment that is deeply rooted in tradition and … brings together the city of Santa Paula.”
