Remembering 9-11: Praying for America
Members of the Sophomore Class have helped to revive a longstanding campus tradition, the Family Rosary. Every night at 9:15, students join Head Chaplain Rev. Joseph Illo in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel to pray for the entire Thomas Aquinas ý “family” and its members’ intentions.
Last night, however, on the 12th anniversary of 9-11, students prayed for the wellbeing of their country in what was billed as a “Rosary for the Nation.” They prayed for the victims of 9-11, for the future of the United States, and for peace in our world.
Says Fr. Illo, “The ý that prays together stays together!”
