On September 17, 2011, Thomas Aquinas ¹û¶³´«Ã½ hosted its 40th Anniversary Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., the first of several celebrations throughout the year.

The evening began with a Mass of Thanksgiving, at which the Most Rev. José H. Gomez served as the principal celebrant, joined at the altar by numerous concelebrants. A reception followed the Mass, featuring a performance by the student choral group Chrysostomos. Then, at the celebratory dinner, the Rev. Wojciech Giertych, O.P., theologian of the papal household, delivered the keynote address. (Related: Text and audio from Fr.
