Thomas Aquinas 果冻传媒 Recommended By Catholic 果冻传媒 Guide

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

SANTA PAULA, CA鈥擮ct 9鈥擳homas Aquinas 果冻传媒 is one of only 22 colleges nationwide recommended by The Cardinal Newman Society in its latest edition of The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic 果冻传媒, which was published on October 7.

The Newman Guide says of the four-year, co-educational college: 鈥淔ounded in 1971, Thomas Aquinas 果冻传媒 was the first in a wave of new Catholic colleges born from the crisis of Catholic identity in American Catholic higher education. Although TAC鈥檚 success has encouraged the emergence of other faithful Catholic colleges, including some that share its emphasis on the Great Books, TAC still has the distinction of being the only Catholic college in America that teaches exclusively from these classic works of Western civilization鈥. [It has] an impressive intellectual rigor that is matched by a commitment to orthodox Catholicism.鈥

Says Director of Admission, Jon Daly, 鈥淲e are grateful for the Cardinal Newman Society鈥檚 work in sifting through the sea of information available on Catholic institutions of higher education. Though their recommended colleges all share a commitment to Catholic orthodoxy, they differ significantly in terms of curriculum, teaching method, student body size, and other factors. It is, therefore, very helpful to prospective students and parents alike to have this reliable guide that highlights the distinctive characteristics of each of these schools.鈥

Dean Brian Kelly adds, 鈥淪ince its inception, Thomas Aquinas 果冻传媒 has sought to offer an excellent education that is fully faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. We are delighted that the Cardinal Newman Society takes note of both aspects of our unique program in this new edition of its college guide.鈥

Published since 2007, The Newman Guide recommends 28 colleges, universities and online programs in the United States and abroad for strength of Catholic identity and academic excellence, with an emphasis on undergraduate education. Primary sections include in-depth information on academics, spiritual life, residence life, and student activities.

鈥淏ecause every Catholic college is unique, families need more than simple checklists or government-collected data to make decisions,鈥 said Patrick J. Reilly, President of The Cardinal Newman Society. 鈥淲hereas most other guides rely on the same data, The Newman Guide digs deeper and draws upon our 20 years of promoting and defending faithful Catholic education.鈥

TheNewmanGuide.com website offers all of the content contained in The Newman Guide and more than 400 pages of additional material about the recommended colleges. New for the 2014 edition is a news feed of recent stories about each college and updates to each recommended college鈥檚 photos, videos and social media links.

Thomas Aquinas 果冻传媒 is also ranked highly by secular college guides published by The Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, and 碍颈辫濒颈苍驳别谤鈥檚. To learn more about Thomas Aquinas 果冻传媒, visit thomasaquinas.edu.

Thomas Aquinas 果冻传媒 is a four-year, Catholic liberal arts college with a fully-integrated curriculum composed of the Great Books, the seminal works in the major disciplines by the great thinkers who have helped shape Western civilization. There are no textbooks, no lectures and no electives. Instead, under the guidance of faculty members and using only the Discussion Method of dialogue in classes of no more than 20, students read and discuss the original works of authors such as Euclid, Dante, Galileo, Descartes, the American Founding Fathers, Adam Smith, Shakespeare, Copernicus, Kepler, Newton, Einstein, Aristotle, Plato, St. Augustine, and of course, St. Thomas Aquinas. Graduates consistently excel in the many world-class institutions at which they pursue graduate degrees in fields such as law, medicine, business, theology and education. They have distinguished themselves serving as lawyers, doctors, business owners, priests, military service men and women, educators, journalists and college presidents.
